Audience
My intended
target audience for my print products is female, aged between 15 and 25 and are
likely to be middle class. The people in my target audience are interested in
higher-end brands and popular music artists such as Harry Styles and Ariana
Grande. They are also interest in fashion and travel as these are two topics that
will be featured in my magazine.
Representation
My magazine
will represent teenagers in a positive way as this means the target audience
are more likely to be interested in my products. The people featured are part
of the same age range as the audience and are represented as being confident
and fashionable. The people in the images I use will show diversity so that it
includes and relates to as many people as possible. My target audience are
unlikely to purchase my products if they are represented in a negative way.
Industry / institution
71% of
people in Britain over the age of 15, consume magazines either in print form or
online. Print products such as magazines are no longer just accessed and
consumed through print forms, they are commonly available online. This helps to
appeal to a wider audience, it can specifically help to aim a product at a
younger audience like mine.
Media Language
The font,
size and placement of the masthead will be the same across each cover to make
them easily identifiable. The issue’s colour scheme will be consistent on both
the cover and contents page, these colour schemes will work alongside the main
image featured on the cover. My colour scheme fits the theme of the magazine. The
colour scheme of my website will be neutral as this will likely attract my
target audience because a lot of the brands that they’re likely to be
interested in have similar colour schemes to this. The website will have a
simple layout that is easy to navigate while still being unique and standing
out, this will allow my audience to find what they’re looking for.
