  • Publishing is estimated to have accounted for 192,000 jobs in the UK creative economy in 2017, almost 10 per cent of UK creative industries employment.
  • 71% of people in Britain over the age of 15, consume magazines either in print form or online, only 21% read them monthly.
  • The most popular magazine is The National Trust Magazine, it has a circulation of around 2.3 million.
  • Statistics show that gossip magazines are struggling but the number of people buying political based magazines is increasing. For example, The Spectator rose by 11.3% and vogue dropped by 3%.
